Possible side effects from using salmeterol inhalation include:

palpitations
fast heart rate
elevated blood pressure
tremor
nervousness
headache

Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, or insomnia
sweating
nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
dry mouth or throat irritation

If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

signs of an allergic reaction (hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat)
chest pain, fast or pounding heartbeats, tremors, shaking, or restless feeling
wheezing, choking, or other breathing problems after using this medication
skin rash, bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness
worsening asthma symptoms
